Comments:
This is probably one of the worst recordings from the tour and should be for completists only. Its clearly done with a cheap handheld recorder which seems to be very common with these 98 shows. Which is a shame since this show has some rare songs on it. I believe this was recorded by the same person who did the other Florida 98 shows who I have spoken with but the masters may be lost for good.
The sound is quite hissy and overall comes off muddled and distant. At times its very difficult to make out the sound or vocals. There’s a small cut on Back 2 Good which is due to a tape flip. Oddly enough though this show seems to run longer than most of the earlier 98 shows. However there is still a cut on Back 2 Good with the first minute on the tapes one side and the rest on the B side. Not to mention tape “warble” on the end of the tape which is common on some of these tapes. There are so many issues with this tape that even a remaster is really not worth the time. A lower gen would certainly help the quality or at least the tape hiss but it probably would reach past a VG rating. Needless to say, this is rough.
